Chill Out! 💨❄️
An intercooler’s job is simple: cool compressed air so it’s denser and easier to compress in the next stage. Colder air means less work for the compressor and lower energy use.
Over time, the intercooler’s tubes and fins can accumulate deposits, raising discharge temperatures and lowering air density. The added strain cuts output, increases energy costs, and shortens compressor life if left unchecked.
CEA services intercoolers to keep air within 11–17°C of ambient and remove entrained moisture to prevent impeller erosion. Regular maintenance, performed every three years (or 24,000 hours), helps sustain performance, extend equipment life, and keep your compressor running as designed. 😎
