The Beast Breathes Again! 🦁
Earlier this year, CEA kicked off a major overhaul on a 500HP FS-Elliott centrifugal compressor, and what a project it’s been! Here’s how it all came together:
🛠️Coolers were removed and replaced with new units.
🧽The main housing got the full treatment, sandblasting and paint.
🔍Air ends were removed, inspected, and shipped to FS-Elliott for expert refurbishment and precision balancing.
🔄The old coolers are now in our shop, being repaired and prepped for future use.
Recognizing the importance of reliability, the client has now engaged CEA for preventative maintenance every six months to avoid unexpected shutdowns and extend the compressor’s life.
Al Kovacs, with 50+ years of hands-on experience, had the honour of firing up this beast and bringing it back to life; a true full-circle moment :)
